National Guard members 'ambushed' in Washington, D.C. shooting, police say

Two West Virginia National Guard members who deployed to Washington, D.C., were shot Wednesday just blocks from the White House in what the mayor described as a 'targeted attack.' A suspect is now in custody after reportedly being shot. CBC's Katie Nicholson has more from D.C.

Metropolitan Police described as an ambush.West Virginia’s governor initially said the officers had died but later corrected himself, saying he had received “conflicting reports” about what had happened.
