The FBI is leading the investigation into the shooting of two members of the National Guard in Washington, D.C.FBI director Kash Patel said the officers are in hospital with critical injuries.A suspect was also taken to hospital after being shot.Officials said it was too soon to speculate on a potential motive for what D.C. Metropolitan Police described as an ambush.West Virginia’s governor initially said the officers had died but later corrected himself, saying he had received “conflicting reports” about what had happened.
