My first Fists of Fate drop looked exciting, so I equipped it immediately and took the build into high-tier content. That was a mistake. The gloves can produce ridiculous hits, but a weak roll can also make your damage feel broken from pack to pack. Before spending materials on a full swap, compare the item carefully with your current Diablo IV Items and test it against both elites and bosses. What Fists of Fate Actually Change Fists of Fate replace steady glove damage with a wide random output range. The special effect rolls whenever your attacks connect, so fast skills get more chances to find a strong result than slow, heavy attacks. This does not mean every rapid build automatically improves. A character still needs strong critical scaling, useful skill ranks, and enough attack speed to make the variance worthwhile. The gloves feel best during speed farming, where a lucky hit can erase an elite before its defenses matter. In longer boss fights, the experience is less comfortable. One attempt may end quickly, while the next requires extra rotations because several hits land near the lower end of the range. Builds That Make the Tradeoff Easier Rogue setups using rapid attacks, combo-based rotations, or repeated core skills are the most natural fit. Their frequent hits smooth out the random results over an entire dungeon. Spiritborn can also use the gloves in aggressive setups, especially when the rest of the gear already supplies mobility and defensive recovery. I would avoid forcing Fists of Fate onto a slow build just because the item has a high maximum roll. A large theoretical ceiling means little when your skill has a long cooldown or only hits once per cast. Test actual clear times instead of judging the character from one spectacular critical hit. 1. Keep your reliable gloves until the new pair survives several complete dungeon runs. 2. Compare boss kill time, not only your largest damage number. 3. Preserve defensive affixes when replacing an important survivability slot. 4. Use attack speed only when your resource flow can support constant casting. Farming and Roll Checking Farm Fists of Fate through the endgame activities that currently provide Unique items, including Lair Bosses, Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and reward caches. Targeted boss farming is usually the better use of materials when the active loot table includes the gloves, but check current seasonal details before committing summons. Random drops are still useful while leveling because they cost no extra boss resources. Inspect the effect range before salvaging a pair. A mediocre roll may be fine for speed farming, while a near-perfect roll can justify rebuilding around it. Also check the ordinary affixes: attack speed, critical-related stats, and useful skill bonuses generally matter more than a flashy maximum value with poor supporting rolls. When to Keep Them Equipped Use Fists of Fate when your character already clears comfortably and you want faster packs or higher burst potential. Do not use them to repair a weak build. If survivability is already thin, losing defensive glove stats can create more downtime than the extra damage removes. For players experimenting with late-game setups, the gloves are fun because they make combat feel different without requiring a completely new class. Keep a consistent pair for difficult progression, then switch to Fists of Fate for farming when the content is comfortably below your limit. That approach keeps your resources flexible and prevents one lucky drop from dictating your entire setup. If you need another pair for testing, compare prices before spending hard-earned gold on buy cheap Diablo IV Items and leave enough materials for rerolling and upgrading.
