There are many ways for players to combat the numerous bosses found all through Elden Ring and as of late one player utilized the use of gravity to take down not one, but rather two deadly foes back to back. In the Lands Between there is an actual magic system based around gravity, but the particular Tarnished in question used traditional FromSoftware game mechanics to defeat the team boss.
Elden Ring's boss lineup is an amalgamation of all the Souls-like titles that came before, testing players in both new and familiar ways. Just like previous FromSoftware titles, there are some bosses that have stowed away exploits that can often times trivialize what might otherwise be an extreme battle. Some of these are intentionally placed by the engineer for fans to find, such as a particular weapon that makes a specific battle more cinematic, but there are a not many that are seemingly unintentional and these can often lead to hilarious boss kills.
Reddit user Lynariel969 as of late tried one of these exploits against the optional Valiant Gargoyles. Under normal circumstances, this couple boss battle starts off with the Tarnished fighting just a single gargoyle until the enemy is brought down to half health making the second one finally join. Located in Elden Ring's secret Nokron location, the battle takes place in a shallow waterway leading to a waterfall. By drawing the gargoyles over to the edge, Lynariel969 managed to bait an attack from each that carried them over the edge to their deaths. As a result the player just battled each Valiant Gargoyle in turn, which is made even more amusing by the fact that these foes have wings.
Gravity has been the enemy of many players, regular enemies, and bosses over FromSoftware's time however the latter is a rare event. Fans of the original Dark Souls may recall that the Taurus Demon was one such boss that could fall casualty to literally falling. Others have their own interesting exploits that can sometimes trivialize the battle to a point where the player does not have to enter the arena.
FromSoftware's latest title is still early on in its lifespan with comprehensive guides to Elden Ring just starting to appear all through the local area. There are probable many more exploits to be found all through the game both intentional and accidental. Ideally, this one used against the Valiant Gargoyles will remain because it is simultaneously amusing while also not necessarily easy to pull off.
